Have your say: admission policy and procedures

The Office of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Students) and Registrar and the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) have prepared an Admission Policy, Admission to Coursework Programs Procedure and Admission to Higher Degree Research Programs Procedure. The proposed policy and procedures are now available for University-wide consultation.

Admission Policy
The policy has been drafted to become the overarching guide to all coursework and research admissions at UNSW.  It replaces the former system of ad hoc council rules regulations and practice.

The policy covers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate coursework programs, and higher degrees by research. The policy also includes undergraduate honours and non-award study.

Admission to Coursework Programs Procedure
The Admission to Coursework Procedures covers all coursework admissions at UNSW including honours and non-award study.

Admission to Higher Degree Research Programs Procedure
The Admission to Higher Degree Research Procedures covers admissions to PhD, Masters by Research and MPhil research degrees.
